A warning to all of us here about the headlight adjusters on our cars. I went to adjust my headlight aim the other day as it was far too low. The left one was extremely tight but succeeded in adjusting it. The right one however would not budge at all, and stripped out the T15 part of the adjuster. Went to work and got some real tools to use on the remaining T30 so I could apply more torque to the adjuster - and twisted the adjuster rod without realizing it like a corkscrew. Fortunately I gave up and decided to bring my car right into work and take the whole thing apart and figure out why things were so tight. I spent a half hour just getting the adjuster out from the headlight assembly, and discovered that the adjuster would turn but failed to adjust anything as the center bolt was seized to the inner gear. Giving up on it I discovered from my local GM dealer that you have to buy the whole headlight assembly to get a new adjuster which was too much money, so I continued dismantling it until I found a plethora of rust preventing things from rotating. Cleaned it all up, greased and reassembled everything, and of course finally I adjusted the headlight. Phewh, that was two and a half hours of work........ Just a note for you guys. IF YOUR HEADLIGHT (VERTICAL ADJUSMENT) ADJUSTER WONT TURN DON'T FORCE IT, YOU'LL HAVE TO TAKE IT APART!
