Just noticed my passenger side window will not go down. I can hear a relay clicking in the door when the trying to lower the window from either the drivers side or passenger controls. Checked my owners manual for window motor fuses but do not see anything specific to power window motors. Only thing listed says right side door power. Don't think that would be it since the electric locks work.
very helpful!
I had to change mine last fall because the cable was binding due to a broken plastic guide. Parts ran about $200. Some adjusting required but not too difficult. Good luck
Tried the tech tip about slamming the door, problem didn't clear. Dealer replaced motor/regulator this afternoon. Thank you GMPP. Tech mentioned he's seen a few of these recently and mostly the passenger side window.
I have the identical problem with my Z06. I'll try the tech tip when I get back home but even if it works I'd be inclined to have the parts replaced under warranty. Otherwise with my luck it would fail again just after the warranty expired, only this time permanently.
I'm inclinded to think this might have also been the issue with my motor. The tech says he got the motor to start occasionally by tapping it. Since it then went from a "broke" to an "intermittent" problem I'm satisfied they replaced both the regulator and motor assembly. Still interesting that he mentioned it seems to happen most often on the passenger side. I would think the connectors and motors are the same. Maybe with the passenger side door and window seeing less use than the drivers side, that might be a contributor.
