If the seat is moving from a memory problem this is a real safety issue.
The seat is designed to not move with the door open or the car moving. You might check the door switch to see if it is working properly. I don't know if it uses the light switch or not,, haven't looked.
Also it could have a bad switch making contact. Just a few thoughts on a "safety issue".. 99 Nassau Blue
i had that problem on my 98 after the carpet had somehow gotten wet. after it dried it was ok. i'd be driving along and the seat would pin me against the wheel. i'd have to stop, remove the key so the seat would automatically retract. insert the key and move the seat back to where i wanted it. the memory would move it back, it's been fine since it dried out. i WD-40d the connector.
On ONE occasion I was driving my '98 Vert and heard a quick buzzing sound to my left. After the 3rd or 4th time I realized it was the seat switch. It has never happened again. I'm convinced ALL Corvettes are manufactured with Gremlins built in. All four of mine had something unusual occur one time or another.
