ok i installed my new vararam sunday and drove it around monday pretty much all day heres whats kinda weird i keeping throwing two codes 0113 and 1111 both p0 codes they are both tied to my iat sensor it has thrown it 4 times now is this what they are talking about by needing to drive it for 30-40 miles? and i ran a friend of mine last night and the car is not running right will the iat f-up pull timing or anything should i do the unhook the battery reprogram thing or just drive it a little more and see what happens anyone experience this before after doing intake
Nope, mine went in pretty easy with no codes. Did you remember to plug all the hoses and plugs back? There are several. One to the MAF, 2 plugs in the radiator area on the passenger side, and one hose that goes to the VaraRam.

My IAT sensor wire broke internally right after my vararam install. I rigged something up to work until I can get a new part. Pulling apart the connector to fix it is a nightmare, but that is what I had to do to get it fixed.
car is a 99 hardtop thanks for the replys i will pull the sensor and look it over maybe order a new one. what impact on performance would a broken iat have.

The PCM doesn't use the feedback for the AIT sensor for anything other than pulling ignition timing.
I can't remember if it will go high or low if the circuit is open..
ok this is starting to make me a little nuts i have read everywhere and tried a crap load of stuff. i have:
tried the pull the 16 and 23 fuses idle for 5 minute then drive thing
taken it apart checked for leaks put it back together
checked wires etc
replaced the iat
disconnected the battery and i stil throw these 2 codes
p0113 and p1111 both are for high voltage on iat sensor circuit
any ideas are greatly appreciated
also i need to buy a stock h pipe with cats asap for as cheap as possible in the dfw area

MY problem was NOT with the IAT sensor itself!! It was with the wiring harness that LEADS to the sensor. The IAT sensor feedback is used for more than ignition timing, it is used for fuel pulse modulation according to my 3 volume Corvette service manual.
Before I "fixed" the harness, I was having some harsh "garage shifts"-terminolgy of the service manual-afterwards the trans acted normally.
