Noise....
I have a 1997 coupe. There is a slight noise in the car that sounds like a bad ground on the stereo but the noise isn't coming from the speakers. Its that whining electrical noise. It even does it when the stereo is off. The sound seems to be coming from around the drivers side rear tire. I can hear it well when outside the car. I'm assuming this must be the fuel pump making this sound. Has anyone had this problem before? Is there a ground strap or something back there I could clean up or tighten down? I'm not incredibly mechanically inclined but if this is an easy fix or a common problem I will give it a shot. Also, got caught in the rain the other day and the noise incresed. It dosen't increase when I give it throttle but you can hear the blinkers through it. Thanks for any input. Jason
These cars could have used a few more pounds of sound insulation from the factory. Give me the exhaust noise, but no mechanical or road noise please!

I am going to monitor it according to FASST LN and see if it coinsides with a nearly empty tank.....never thought about this before.
