Door Speakers
Does anyone know of the options available for installing aftermarket speakers in the doors? I own a '99 hardtop and was told I have "8 Bose speakers in my doors. I'm not able to find any "8 replacements only "6 1/2 coaxials for the doors. I have a pair of 6x9 Alpines that I'd like to install but would like to know if anyone has any input before I remove my door panels.

I use 7" mid-bass and a 4" midrange in the doors.
For a 6 by 9 speaker, you'll need to make and adaptor plate and trim a little of the door itself to clear the basket of the speaker.

I just completed my swap yesterday. Just pull out the existing Bose speakers and trace a template of the Bose mounting bracket. I did my with 1/2 inch mdf and than mount your 6 1/s's to it. Very simple
