i hooked up my battery today for the first time all winter and my directionals wont shut off. even with the key out of the ignition. i tried the directionals and they dont work at all. all i get is the directionals on at all times. help!!!!!

I think you have a bad battery screwing with the computer.

battery is good. its a 6 month old altima yellow top

I honestly don't know if this will help or not. But I had one side working and one side not and the bulbs were good and there was no short or fuse blown.

Down by the brake and clutch pedal on the firewall there is a big black button of some kind. I pushed that in and released it by hand. That reset my brake lights and it solved my problem.

Try and see what happens. Make sure you have the E-brake on at least. I believe that button releases the brakes.
