Took the Vette out of Southeastern Michigan winter storage last week and found that it survived the layup without a gas gauge incident. Chaulk-up one atta-boy for Shell V-Power.
In contrast last winter, after using Amoco Ultimate during the year and laying it up with a tank-full, I suffered an immediate gas gauge problem when coming out of storage. After several tank-fulls of Shell V-Power gasoline along with adding Techron, the problem corrected itself. Since then, I've used Shell V-Power exclusively. I recognize that gasolines differ in different regions but I'm here to proclaim that Shell V-Power is Corvette gas gauge friendly in Southeastern Michigan and perhaps the upper midwest region. Thought I'd pass this fact along.
