You can't port and polish a Thermoplastic intake manifold.

You already have the best OEM intake for the LS1. The next upgrade to the intake manifold would be the FAST with a 90mm throttle body. Might give you 10 HP over stock. Pretty expensive, around 800 for the FAST and 350 for the throttle body.

Are you perhaps thinking of the throttle body? Nice choice of modifications BTW

The stock intake is really a good unit and doesn't require any modification to perform well. Best to look elsewhere. I did a ported and polished throttle body from Mark Shaner. This is a great mod and relatively inexpensive. I found a used throttle body from an 02 Z06 and sent that to Mark so that I could keep my stock factory unit. I try to save all the original parts as I make changes to the car.

He didn't "make fun of him." He simply corrected him. There's a difference.

OK. But typing sentences over the internet does have its limitations. It can be diffcult to get the actual intent of the written word as opposed to the spoken word. Apparently 2 people who posted in advance of you, saw it as an attempt at humor. If I am wrong then I apologize to the original respondant, BlownV6.

I'll add that he indeed gave him good info. He may be an ol timer like me and didn't know the technology has changed. We used to do that with the manifolds.

You're right EB. I thought it was funny. So? Like I said, smile a little and maybe laugh. I didn't call him a dumb azz. Good morning!
