Is there an optimum time for your burnout with ET Streets? Of course you can underheat them but can you overheat them where it would be counter productive?

I think only you can determine that Jason. My car will run 12.7's and I don't have to heat them at all. Just a dusting. I do not have a traction issue.
I think it depends on power and stick or auto. Same goes for air pressure.
You may get some insight from someone with a comparable car. Then what about track conditions. They would have to be comparable.
Just curious, cause me likes to smoke 'em and I think it will be only worse since I intsalled the line lock over the weekend. It will be too easy not to!

I do a moderate burnout the first run, then just until smoke begins to show on preceding runs....I usually get 1.64-1.68 60' times...

This is right where I was at as well. I think my best was a 1.62. I just changed the exhust to LGM LTs and Borla Stingers so I can't wait to get back to the track. I may go for trophy night, tonight! Weather looks good so far. The only problem would be getting my car dirty after cleaning it up for this weekends crawfish event.
Just enough to get deep heavy smoke rolling off the tires and release the L.L. and let the car roll out of the burnout.. Good for 1.6 at a slippery track.
I wait until I see smoke, usually pretty quick @ 6k and 2nd gear. Stage the car in the groove, activate the nitrous, hold @ 6-6800 depending on track conditions.... 1.40-1.43's all day long

Some believe you can overheat them, but I haven't seen adverse effects from doing big burnouts all the time. I tend to do longer burnouts then most especially on colder days.

Rob, the last time I saw you , the only thing that burned out was some excess gas in you tank on the way TO the track!!!!
