I have an 04 convertable. I have put about six thousand miles on it and have a question for more experienced owners.
When rounding a curve the rear tires loose contact with the road momentarily if I hit a bump or seam in the pavement. This occurs at speeds as low as 50 mph and it doesn't have to be a hugh bump. For example the same section of road will cause no problem for my Monte Carlo. Is this normal or do I have a problem with the suspension?
I replaced my originals with BFG KDW's in stock size. I tend to get a little "wheel hop" when taking a corner at speed. I didn't get this with the GY EMT's. Not sure if I am just finding the outer limits of the grip or what. I do enjoy the better ride I get with the non runflats. If you go with non runflats you will want to pick up a patch kit and small compressor to keep in the car. Stay away from the fixaflat stuff as it can damage the sensors. Welcome to Vette ownership and enjoy your ride. I just completed my first mod today... Borla Stingers. Now it sounds the way it should. I love it.
