Anyone install a sneaky pete nitrous kit on their C5?
Here is a picture of the kit for those who dont know what I'm talking about:
If I was to hook the nozzle up under the airbox, before the MAP or MAF (which does the vette use?) ... the sensor should adjust and add more fuel while spraying...correct?
Should be fun and pretty safe if only a 35 shot. Dry kits like this (sprays no fuel) go before the air sensor, and this would be really really easy to hide. The computer will sense colder/denser air and add fuel at the injectors for you. If its only 35, your engine shouldn't need a thing. Would also be a good idea for the N/A fellas on a HOT summer Day
I'd most likely replace the 10oz bottle with a 2.5lb one
After doing a search I'm also considering the Nitro Dave Dry Halo kit... but with the added price plus I'd probably pay someone to install it, I'm just not sure if its worth the extra money if I'm only looking to get < 50hp out of it
hmmmm
Anyone have any input about how an A4 would hold up? Shoudnt be a problem, right?
My A4 held up for more then 2 years with well over a 100RWHP increase over stock before I lost some of the gears Lots and lots of 1/4 mile runs also,
A dry kit is really easy to install if you want to save some money and have the time to do it. Plenty of feedback here also if you search on some of the install topics. I'd do 50, I could feel that a little on a car with over 400rwhp, should be really nice on a car in the lower 300s.
If you are going with the really small bottles/setups, I would think the main point is to hide the fact you are spraying, so doing over 50HP jets would be obvious, lol.
