Default Another happy Cartek customer !

I thought I'd post this for a fellow Cartek customer that doesn't post here much and share it with any forum members looking for a reliable , 9-second " street " package for a C5 .

Cartek customer Mike C . ran a new personal best of 9.9 at 135 or 136 last weekend at the track at the Corvette Challenge in NJ . His car is an A4 C5 with a mild Cartek built 418 Darton block with a 150 shot of nitrous , the car is over 3500 pounds with driver . The most impressive thing to me about this car was it's reliability , I was at the track and watched him make three or four 9-second runs and roughly seven 10.0 passes , the car never missed a beat , it runs on pump gas and is driven to and from the track , Mike(the owner) had a smile on his face all day , that in my book is an awesome street package .

Congratulations to Mike and Cartek for putting another (six ) C5 in the nines . There should be some video from that day and Cartek will post the timeslip .

Mike,

I'm glad you posted this. I went up and congratulated Mike Conway on that run. It was perfect. And he was very happy about it. Mike C. is a very modest guy who especially loves to drive his car on the street and on the strip. Cartek has built him a car that serves him for both purposes.

I wasn't aware that Cartek had any modest customers.

Mike did very well that day and the car ran flawlessly. I guess he'll need a full cage now.

Mike,

I was watching. My car was in for a little "tune-up" so I didn't race. I've got it back now and hopefully I can make a respectable run and not feel to embarassed by a certain "cam-only" Cartek Z.

Hey Mike! Yeah, I'm taking the car in Friday and will be picking it up in about a week!!

I went with the 447, stage5x ls6 heads, 3.73s, etc etc. It will be real similar to Eric's setup.

That 447 is a great set up. I think you'll be very pleased with it.
