Im new to this webiste and I greatly appreciate all the help and suggestions. This is my first corvette and it is a Red Targa 6 speed 2000 vette. Couple mods include corsa exhaust, intake ...
Now I just hit 31K miles on it and my FUEL gage completely went to 0%. I have filled the car up and the neadle droped to 0% after 10 mintues of normal driving. My LOW FUEL warning light comes on, which I constantly need to RESET. Any suggestions?
I read previous post in regards to adding TECHRON to your gass. I tried that today. I will post if that helps.
Does anyone else have any other suggestions?
thank you again for your time.

This happened to me a few weeks ago. I had installed a new fuel pump and the the float arm on the fuel pump disconnected when I reinstalled the pump.
I had BOTH my fuel sending units replaced under warranty a few years ago...was the only thing that solved the problem I experienced in my '02 coupe. (Gage unexplainably dropped to zero all of a sudden around the 5/8 tank point...was very slow on coming up to full when tanking up. GM claimed it was bad gas...something about sulfur compounds attacking the sensors, etc. Would like to give you my old CF thread on the issue...can't find it via the search option for some reason...sorry! )
Seems like GM still hasn't zeroed in on a cause/definite solution. I'd say changing fuel types, i.e., sticking w/ Premium might help, but you may still have the problem in the future.
If your car is still under warranty, I'd ask them about replacing the fuel sending units as they did with mine.

I can think of a good solution.... when GM makes a good part to correct the problem, they recall all these vehicles that are having this problem. People counting miles to make sure they don't run out of gas is in any car. If GM needs us to go to a specific gas station to make their car run right, they should have told us that in the owners manual. If we need Techron on a regular basis it should be in the maintenance shedule
