I'm with pewter99. Just did both of mine this weekend. Only one gear was bad (chewed up) but didn't want to risk the other one going as well.
Rodney's product is excellent. the instructions are good. Couple of things on my 99 - there were only two 13mm bolts (not three) holding the headlight assemblies to the frame. The motor cover was held on with 6mm bolts. DO be carefull when pulling out the shaft assembly. there are a couple of white plastic spaces which can at first seem like a part of the plastic gear and there is a metal washer on the cover end.
I used the opportunity to upgrade the lighting to Sylvianna??? Silverstar bulbs and now I can finally see at night! If you were thinking of upgrading the lighting somewhat - this is the time to do it.
Whole project took a couple of hours with hand tools.
