Default Help: Code P1153 On Dic

Over the last few day I have gotten a check eng. light and I am showing a PCM Code: P1135 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Insufficient Switching Bank 1 Sensor 1 on my 02 Vert.

The code only happens in the HOT afternoon.

I installed LT Headers w/ high flow cats about a month ago and had the tuned about two week ago. I still have ALL 4 02 sensors. The codes just started a few days ago. I have had no other codes and the car runs fine.

Looking for some help to get this fixed before trip to CI

Common problem with LT's. The LT's moved the O2 sensor further downstream from the engine, therefore they tend to cool off and stay cool. Therefore, you can get insufficient switching error codes. Here is a detailed description for that error.

Many people purchase an additional set of the rear O2 sensors and use them to replace the front O2's. The rear O2's have a slightly higher watt rating and therefore are not as susceptible to cooling off. You will need a small harness to do this as the weatherpack connectors are different shapes for the front's and rears.

Thanks for the reply.

I have a few questions.

1. Will it hurt the car to run it when the code comes up? I can clear it with the rest on the dash. I am planing to go to CI next week and I don't know if I'll get it fixed before than. I don't want to take the wifes Infinity:=(.

2. Where can I get the pig tails to put rear O2 sensors on the front?

I have never noticed any particular driving problems, so AFAIK driving with the code(s) and erasing is not a problem. Where can run into problems is if you want to race your car much. The O2 sensor not functioning properly can adversely affect your LTFT's which could in turn cause you to be overly rich at WOT. I have experienced this. I made my connectors, but I believe LG sells them.
