Started up my 00 coupe yesterday, noticed that the passenger window would not open. I started driving and a few moments later the gages quit, the stereo lost power, the drivers side window stopped working and every possible alarm message came up on the display. The car ran fine; I drove it for several miles and let it sit for an hour or so. When I started it up after it sat, everything was normal. Anyone…..Anyone……Anyone???

This is just a guess and only a guess. It sounds like it could be a ground problem. I cannot find the tread that was in C5 general that shows all the ground points and how to check them over and clean. Try in advance search on ground connections. I hope that this helped.
Good Luck.

Check your battery connections. I would remove both and check for corrosion.
Also check the passenger footwell area for signs of moisture. Occasionally, the drain tube for the AC get pugged up and backs water into the area of the BCM under the foot panel.
Also make sure that your battery is not leaking acid onto the PCM and harness underneath.
If you don't find anything, I would then have the battery and charging system checked at a shop.
Had 2 trips to the dealer for a very similiar problem. Service everything, all gauges gone whacky, reduce power, etc etc,. All trouble codes were set so they didn't know where to start. Second visit they spent 10 hrs troubleshooting and RT'ing and found a short in the passenger door control module. Everything now working fine. Hope this helps. I have a detailed explanation of the trouble shooting process and findings from the dealer if it can help you.

10 hours troubleshooting.....ouch! I would really appreciate the detailed explanation. Should I give you a fax number? Did this problem come and go?
Fortunately extended warranty covered all costs ...... phew! Usually if I shut the car off and let sit, the problem would disappear, however, it would resurface after a short drive. I did notice that there was a lot of fluction on my voltage, jumping back and forth between 13.5 and 14+. Probably because of the shorting. Since fix the voltage is steady.
Send me a fax number and I will gladly send you the dealer summary on Tuesday. Good luck.
I suspect it was the loose/shorted wiring that was the problem. But since they had already shipped in the two door modules, and it was a warranty job they replaced them anyway.
I'm basing my suspicion on the fact that they replaced the passenger module and couldn't get the passenger window to operate and through further trouble shooting they found the wiring problem.
