Default Hawk Pads: Ceramic v HPS

Anyone here tried both HPS and Hawk Ceramic Performance Pads? I'm currently running HPS with no complaints beyond dust. No drag or track use here, mostly canyon runs for fun. Best,

Mike

Did Andy put them on? We probably have the same.....and I'm not sure what I have. I assume they are the ceramic Hawks cause the powder is brown not black.

I have the kind that crack $300 rotors........

It wasn't the pads that cracked your rotors,.........it was the Track!

Canyon runs can heat your brakes up as much as track days.

Cermaics are for normal street use, not the track or IMHO canyon runs where brakes are / or could be heavely used.

Hawk HPS are ok, not great. They dust like crazy. I used them one weekend on the track and they were toast, less then 10% pad remaining after the two days.

There is nothing performance about Ceramic pads... I bought them for no dust purposes between track events. The first time I was coming down a long off ramp, I shot 5-10 feet through the stop sign....
