LS1 crank holes

LS1 crank holes
Anybody see an LS1 crank for a car that does not have the large holes in the rod jornals for bank to bank breathing. The one I got has none and also does not need the rear oil plug because its solid. This is a newer crank and was wondering if its a design change. I can not find any info on this.

Wow, that's a new one on me. The only holes I know of in the rod journals are the oil holes. The only way those holes get oil to them is through the rear of the crank. And the only bank to bank breather holes I know of are in the newer (2001 and up) block. I checked my 99 Service manual and the crank in there is as I described. Sounds like the crank was not drilled and finished...
