My passenger floor is soaked, and it is coming from underneath the dash on the inboard portion of the pax side. I noticed my fan sounded weird on the way home on a long trip. Is it the AC? I quit using it but it is either still leaking or there is a lot of build up somewhere in my dash. I am going to rip apart my dash tommorrow.
sounds like your a/c drain is clogged up. This drain is on the firewall by the passenger side and is most easily seen from underneath the car. It needs to be cleaned out. I would suggest you not use your a/c until you get this fixed as you will damage your electronics under the passenger footwell. There have been several posts on this so try a search. If you cant find it you may have to go to the dealer to get it fixed. Not a big deal but certainly needs tom be done. HTH
Some one else did a recent post about water on his passenger side floor. After doing some water testing... he found that the water was leaking in throught weather seal above his window. The water was trailing under neigth the weather strip and down the A pilar, then behind the trim... to end up on the carpet. Took him a long time to figure out the problem.
Your car will turn on the AC compressor for you under several different conditions (such as when you direct air at the windshield), even if you're requesting heat, not cooler air. The car is nice enough to illuminate the AC light for you when it does this, though.
