Default LS 1 Edit Question

I have a 2004. Just put kooks headers, B&B exhaust with X pipes and a vararam air induction system. Will it help it to do the LS 1 Edit???

Sure, every little bit helps. You can fine tune the air fuel ratio as the factory usually sets them very rich. Many people find extra horsepower and are running smoother. Also you can tune out stuff like CAGS which is the real way to do it. The plug in the bypass version will eventually go south and throw codes. There are several programs out there other than Ls1, but most tuners are comfortable with LS1 since it is the most established.

I did all the bolt ons and DID not tune the car. The car ran perfect. A little rich, but perfect. no codes. I knew I was going to get a cam and did not want to have it tuned twice

I have a 04' also and have been researching this too. From what I have seen the late 03'-04' cars with the new style returnless fuel system got new programing from the factory and run leaner than the earlier C5 that were a little rich from the factory. Thats why the earlier C5 get good results with out a tune when you do boltons. With the newer cars I figure the more you bolt on the leaner the engine will run. Which would decrease you HP. I am planning on a retune for sure when I get my Vararam and headers on in the next week or 2...

I would think you would benifit for sure with your set up
