Default Replacing air box cover.

How do I go about replacing the standard air box cover with the Z-06 cover? I already have the cover, just don't know how envolved it will be to put it on. Is it hard to do for someone with an IQ of -5?

Thanks.

Pretty simple really.
Remove your air filter and pull the stock air cleaner cover off it;s mounting studs located at the bottom of the unit.
It took me 2.5 min. the first time I did it.
Install of the Z06 air box is the opposite.

Good luck

Yeah. Like he ^ said. Piece of cake. Take the two straps off and carefully pull the through the opening in the front of the hood, looking into the front hood opening you will see two rubber grommets that hold the cover to the chassis. Carefully put pressure on them until they pop off. Might squirt a little water on them. To install, reverse the procedure but make sure you wet the rubber grommets first. – C.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. I'll tell you, if anyone can screw it up, it will be me.

All right, I did it!!! And there was no blood or explosions, or nothing. Took it out on a test drive and I swear, there was 58.3 more horsepower! I'll keep my fingers crossed for the next couple of days just in case I did something wrong.

58 rwhp is about average. Some get a little more, some less.

Now that it's breathing better you should look into a cat-back system with X pipe. After all ,all that freah air needs someplace to go. You don't want to constipate your ride.
Maybe a hi-flow MAF and then a tune. I got the Corsa Indy's and used the hypertech power programmer III.
All the above = 402 HP vert.

Need to let the coffee can fill up with spare change again before any new exhaust can happen. Emptied the can on wheels and such. But thanks for the suggestions. Will keep them in mind.
