My mn6 is at the dealer with the rear end removed. Something internal is causing the L/H seal to leak. I'm not sure yet whether they're going to repair, or replace the differential. My question is with the rear end out and on the ground how much more is involved in replacing the clutch, pressure plate etc. The rear end is covered by warranty, the clutch would be on me. Car has 41K easy miles, so it may be completely unnecessary (but prudent as I plane to keep the car for a long time).
If you do plan mods i would do it for sure. It will save you time and money later cause you will have to do it. Heck if you do do it soon I will even buy your stock clutch. let me know
If you can buy the parts from Gene @ Fred Beans and they will install them I would do it. At least have them install a new slave, its $100 from Gene. Also have them install a clutch extender bleeder.
new slave cylinder is probably more worth it than new clutch...My clutch was fine when I took it out to replace the slave but I replaced the clutch while I had it apart anyways
If you plan on Keeping the car for a while then do the clutch. I would install the Z06 clutch if you don't plan on Beating (racing) on it every weekend. Make sure they check the balance on the new clutch assembly before installing it.
