Default Question about the flap under the front bumper

I just did the VARAM Install on my car and forgot to re-install the middle flap under the bumper the one that will scrape if you're not too careful, I was wondering if that will have an affect on the flow of air and cause some performance loss??

i was told that it will help keep the car cooler b/c it scoops up air to hit the radiator and also its used for aerodynamics... of course you should keep it on your car considering you live out in Palmdale it gets pretty hot up there...

PS. are you going to Andy's annual party June 11th.. check out the Pacific forum for times and meeting spots...

I would reinstall the air dam. It was designed to help direct air around the bottom and through the radiator.

Default Spoiler

About a year ago, I noticed this black thing laying at the end of my 1 1/2 mile, gravel, bumpy driveway. It had been run over allot. I thought, another piece of **** that fell off some junker. It was my center spoiler, no changes in operating temps with the 160* stat.

Calling it a flap is funny, never heard a Corvette owner call the front air dam a flap before. But, didn't you notice that by design, its angle directs air flow to the radiator? So yes it's needed.

Hehehe thanks! I will re-install the Air Dam ASAP. I will also most likely be attending Andy's Annual party on the 11th. Thanks for all the help and advice.
