Anyone ever get "shocks inoperative" code on DIC?
I was making a right turn on a bumpy intersection and got a strange error message on the DIC. It said" shocks inoperative...maximum speed 80 mph...service shock absorbers" . After shutdown the message cleared itself, and all is well since. Was the computer confused while going over the bumps and accelerating? Or do I have a new problem?

This happened to me after I replaced my body control module with a 2000 vette. My car is a 97 and I( kept getting the same codes, shocks, service ride control, and no drive over 80. I fouond out the 2000 some had automatic ride control option, which i heard is very expensive to fix, especially when changing out ur shocks. You need special ones. Thnk god I dont have this option.
Anyway I bought the correct body control module for a 97 and the lights all went away. I was told the 97s didnt have this option so I dont know why it came on yours? Thats weird. GL
