2001 Drivers Window NOT working
My drivers side window does not work (d/n go up or down). I checked some codes last night, and I can't remember the exact number right now, but I know there was a code showing for the drivers side door control module and it was a HISTORY code. I haven't yet actually driven the car at all (It's on jack stands), but I've started it and shut it off numerous times in order to see what codes are occurring. I am NOT getting any CURRENT codes right now.
Any suggestions on what to do to get my driver's side window to work? What should I check, do, and/or what should I start replacing?
I've heard about pressing the window button while slamming the door a few times, and I might try that tonight - but I'm thinking that won't work.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Bill.

window motor regulator is my guess, my passenger side window does some weird stuff with sometimes working and sometimes not, slamming the door a few times usually gets it working enough to get the window up but ultimately the regulator needs to be replaced.
Thanks for the replys. I tried the super secret, tried and true hold window button and slam the door trick tonight, AND IT WORKED!!! I must have slammed the door 6 - 10 times, with the switch in the "down" mode, and then I tried slamming the door w/ the switch in the "up" mode, and then again slamming it in the "down" mode.
Each time I slammed what seemed harder and harder, and it was to the point that I was about to give up for fear of doing some other damage, and suddenly the window started working!!!
I ran the window up and down numerous times just to loosen things up, and things seem to be working for both pass and drivers windows and door locks.
Now, if I can get the pass side power seat and the telescopic column to work, I'll be set.
My car sat (insurance salvage) for one (1) year before I bought it, and I think it had some humidity in the car which probably affected the window, seat and steering column motors.
Thanks, everyone for all the help.
Bill.
