when I go over a speed bump of a dip. This occurs at normal (slow) speeds, not just haulin azz. I hear a clunking noise & it feels like something is bottoming out.
Can anybody shed some light on this?
So far, I've already tightened the sway bar and relubed the bushings. Upon hearing the clunk again I took it to a FORD tech and he disvovered it was a inner tie rod end that needed replacement. He could physically move the tie rod with his hand. So much for GM techs who'd previously said there was nothing wrong.

The car itself doesn't bottom out, it just feels like a suspension component is hitting maximum travel.
Someone suggested checking sway bar end links & tie rods, so I crawled under the car earlier and it looks like the shock may be blown cause there is oil all over the swing arm and other components.
Now where is the DIY section on R&R for shocks?
