Default Keyfob amnesia

First I'm sorry if this is a dupe , but I searched and couldn't find answer . I replaced the battery in my keyfob , relearned the fob , and it keeps losing the memory after less than an hour . Any help would be appreciated and as always thanks in advance .

First thing to do is see if you have any DTC codes in the DIC. Here is the procedure.

This is the absolute best C5 Code web site!!!

http://www.corvettedoctor.com/Codes_Page.htm

Once you write all of the codes down, clear them and when the FOB fails again, check the codes again. Post those codes.

A battery low on charge or one that is going bad can cause the BCM to loose the FOB sequence code and it will stop working until you re-sync. Can you do the RE SYNC procedure and get it to work for a chort period of time??

Well, i've got two answers for this, the first is, when mine started this, i ended up having to buy a new fob.

The second is, someone posted on repairing the fob, so i went back and was able to repair my old one. There is a rectangular component at the top of the PC board that had popped loose from the solder connection. After touching it up, it worked fine again.
