Default Corsa Titanium Exhaust, HELP!

I have B&B Bullets and love them, but if money wasn't an issue I would have purchased Corsa Titanium instead. I now have an opportunity to purchase the entire exhaust system from a Z06, manifolds back, that was equipped with the Corsa Ti. I have a few questions though. Corvette garage has sound-clips of the system at this address:

http://www.corvettegarage.com/produ...6-Corvette.html

Can anyone tell whether these clips are with or without the muffler attachments?

Also, is the titanium the cause for the high pitch sound the exhaust makes as compared to other loud exhausts, like Stingers or Bullets, or is it the muffler design?

The system has the mufflers, but not the straight pipe attachments. If I have a set made out of steel, will it change the sound, or will it still sound pretty much the same since the rest of the piping is still made out of titanium?

Thanks for any help!

I see you haven't gotten a response...

Why not contact Corvette Garage, or whomever made the sound clip and ask them exactly how they were made. For example, after recently hearing a sound clip by another company I contacted them and asked where the microphone was placed in relationship to the exhaust and how far away. Two days later I got a clearcut answer allowing me to gauge the volumn.

All the best.

Corsa seems to like the higher pitched exhaust tones. Some people think it sounds exotic, like a Ferrari. The only reason to get the Corsa Ti system is to save weight. It doesn't save much more weight than the Z06 catbacks, so you really have to love saving weight to put out the cash to get those Corsa's. If you love saving weight enough to pay for it, I would think the exhaust tone wouldn't mean much in comparison.

To answer your question, it's mostly the muffler design, and using steel for the straight pipe replacement for the mufflers will definitely change the sound, but because you'll be running straight pipes.

I have the titanium system on my Z06, with mufflers. The sound is not as high pitched as the Corsa catback system. When WOT is applied the system basically is straight exhaust. I get a lot of questions on the type of exhaust I have at track events and drags that I go to.
The nice thing is at cruise speed the system is quieter than the stock Z06 system and when Smoky is within earshot, just take it easy and he won't even look at you for loud exhaust. Also the system has GM Approval.
There is a bracket that serves as the hanger for the straight pipe section, the mufflers support the incoming pipe and the tips. Both could be easily reproduced or you could probably find a used set for sale.
I bought my system, along with Stainless Works headers, from a Forum member that needed tuition money. I later bought the mufflers and two extra tips from Corsa. I intended to switch back and forth for track events, but haven't yet.
If you decide to build a replacement I could send you some info and pics.
I really think the system with the mufflers will fill all your needs for performance and sound.

I believe those clips are without the mufflers. If you want to opt for the muffler-less version later on, contact Corsa directly, they can sell you the hangar and straight pipe sections for far less than getting them made. I went this road myself, it took a while, but Corsa ended up supplying everything.
