Default Drivers Window problem

I've read several posts, and I'll apologize first by saying I have not taken the door panel off for a look yet, and it's a little long.

Here is what has happened to date.

For the past year the window has not been smooth while going down. It is very jerky. (Passenger window is smooth all the way down)

About a month ago it went about half way down and stopped, like it was binding or getting caught on something. It immediately went up fine, and then it would go all the way down fine. Once it stuck half way, and started working again the window would roll down smoothly. (Now there is a slight scratching type sound when it gets to the bottom, and sometimes a thud when it hits the bottom)
Over the past month it has it has done the same thing about 3 times.

Yesterday it did the same thing, stuck about half way, and rolled back up. Now it will only roll down about a quarter inch. It goes a quarter inch down, and it will go back up (at least that's a good thing)

I know there is a little play in how tight the window is to the outside window seal. I'm sure I need to adjust the tension or whatever. I do also have window noise while going down the road, so it may not be aligned properly or going all the way up as well.

Based on what I've read it sounds like the regulator, as I believe the motor is functioning with power.

Any thoughts?
