I currently have Breathless Step II Headers and have hissing coming from the drivers side. I tightened the bolts I could reach, but that did not work.
I just ordered a set of Percy dead soft gaskets and Breslin split-lock header bolts to help solve my problem.
When I tried tightening the bolts, there were a couple I could not reach (far back on driver and pass sides). Does anyone know of special tools or tricks I can use to get these out? I am definately not looking forward to doing this, but it needs to be done...hopefully for the last time!
I used a small Craftsman 1/4 socket set to get mine in prior to using the torque wrench.
In your situation, I think I would remove the hard ones first while the others are still tight so there is less chance of cross threading, then remove the inners and notch the two end holes in the gasket so you can drop it in place then put in the middle bolts and finally change out the fronts.
