Default Headlight Sensor

Where is the headlight sensor located? I have an intermittent problem. The headlights will popup in early morning and not lower until the car shuts off. When I restart all is well. It happens a couple of times a week.

I just turned off the twilight sensor with the options setting. This way I don't wear out those nice little plastic gears too soon. I plan to replace them with metal gears later. Make sure the manual switch is in the full off and not the park position. If in park the head lights will be off but they will stay open. 99 Nassau Blue

The sensor is located under the grill on the top of the dash... You need to use a couple of small screwdrivers to push the edge closest to you toward the windshield then the whole cover pops right off. You can then unclip the sensor wire.(I suggest tying a string onto the wire so you don't lose it in the dash) If you PM Stockman he will tell you what ohm resistor to use in place of the sensor eye. He did mine a few weeks ago and it took all of 5 minutes. I now have to turn the lights on manually. (Can't disable twilight sentinel on Canadian Cars)
Good luck
