Default Exhaust Advice Wanted

I currently have B&B headers with a stock cat and Borla XR-1 on an '02 supercharged Z06. The resonance between 2 & 3 thousand rpm is simply too annoying to put up with. Ideas appreciated - change to a Stinger, RT 66 or what?

How about a Z06 titanium cat-back with electric cutouts? ...just a thought.

I have an exhaust question of my own. How big is the difference between a Z06 stock exhaust and a regular C5 exhaust?

I don't think there is much you can do other than switch exhausts.

I don't know if you have an x-pipe or not. Some have reported a reduction in resonance by adding an x-pipe to the Stingers. I'm not sure how much an x-pipe would help with the XR-1, or if it would reduce it enough to meet your needs.

I am bias though...

The Z06 Ti mufflers are just a little louder on start up and idle but when the rpm's climb you can tell more of a difference. Compared to with the cut outs open though, they are silent.

yeap I would go with the Z06 TI exhaust probably the quitest you can get, or maybe the Corsa Pace Car if you still want some exhaust sound with no resonance.

Good luck
