Default Calipers Won't Go Back On

Replaced stock rotors with sportbrakes D&S Rotors. Calipers will not fit back over the pads I just pulled off. The original rotors were recently turned and new pads installed. Do I need different pads, need to release the brake fluid pressure and bleed the system, or what?
Thanks...

You need a caliper press to press the pistons in slightly so it will fit back on the rotor. I think you can get them at Sears or if you have a C-clamp, it will work.

You need to push the piston back in. Use a large c-clamp to push the piston back in than the caliper should slide over the rotor.

Im always to late..

Thanks guys. I removed the cap from the brake fluid reservoir then pressed in the piston slightly and, shazammmmm, they now fit fine.

My fathers day is now going much better. Thanks again.

Do it this way before you remove the caliper:

Or you can always stick some of your old pads in the caliper when its swung open, then use the clamp.

Also a large set of channel lock pliers with some pads in there as well to squeeze the pistons back in.

Watch your fluid level in the brake reservoir so that it does not overflow.
