help with transmission
I have a 97 c5 with auto. It has 64k miles. I was like it went into nuetral. There were no signs of a weak trans. No codes, no slipping, nothing. It felt very strong. It will do nothing now, every gear is like it is in nuetral. Any ideas??

If that just happened instantly, and it feels like it's in neutral even in first, I wuld suspect you broke a hard part in the tranmission. Rebuild time.
I broke a sprag in mine and was having similar symptoms.
Before you do that though, double check fluid level/ condition just to make sure you're not running low.
Also, there is a screen body when you take off the transmission pan with sevral small screens (size of fingernail) Make sure those aren't clogged. If they are, they can cause something similar.
If this can wait, I may be able to scan a photo of what I'm talking about. I'd hate to tell you that you need a rebuild when all you needed to do was change fluid and clean screens.

Auto trans is computer controlled and monitored by the DIC. Check the codes and see if there are any trans related DTC's.
post them here. It might be as simple as a fuse or bolt on componet.
