Has any one used a oil cooler off a 6.0L GM truck motor on the LS1 motor? The block that the temp sensor plugs into looks like a blank of the oil cooler block on my friends truck. I also looks close the block found in the 21st CM oil cooler package.

Any thoughts?
I'm sure the stocker will work, but you'll have to make some fitting conversions and such to get it to work.
You can make your own kit using the Xtreme LS1 adapter for about $400 (which I'm about to do)
Compliments of Vettedrmr.
I was going to place mine behind the license plate. Cut a hole behind the plate and when I’m driving around town the plate will cover it (no air flow) when I go to the track take the plate off and have air flow. I don’t think I will need a thermostat that way.

How are those coolers attached at the top? The only thing I don't like about drmr's setup si thatthe top of the cooler is leaning agaianst the radiator. It's probably OK, but I don't want to risk it if there's a more secure solution.

How are you going to cut an opening behind the plate? That's where the bumper is. Just curious.

We fabricated a bracket. Just a strip of steel runing side to side.
I've seen the DRM kit and it is very nice and very similar to the GM T1 cooler I now have.
Having done this once by myself, where I researched and bought all the parts, adapters, fittings, etc, I recommend buying a kit. The extra $$ will be well worth the aggravation you save.
