Old Gears Back In?
Hey all,
I recently cracked a differential case (see car specs below) and ended up getting the entire differential replaced with a stock rear and gears from the same year Z06...Right now the replacement differential still has its 3.42 gears in there, but I was able to salvage the 4.10 gears and carrier from my old setup...How big of a deal am I looking at (expenses at a mechanic since I refuse to touch the diffy myself) to put this gearset back into my new rear end? I assume it's just a few hours of labor, but I'm not really sure..Any help is appreciated!!

I believe around $250 + s/h to the right vendor... I was looking at doing this a little while back because somebody was selling just the gear and pinion but never did go thru with it.
