Default How Long To Perform Column Lock Recall?

How long should the dealer take to perform the column lock repair? They've had my C5 for two days now and it's still not done.

Did you ever see the scene in "Ferris Bueller" where the parking lot attendants go for a joy ride? J/K.. Probably sitting over in a corner somewhere, and when they final get to it will be done in half an hour.

My A-4 took almost three hours but I think they took a lunch break. The six speeds can be done as fast as it takes to hook up the TECH-2 and reflash the computer. They reflashed my computer as it had not seen a dealership in 5 years...

Had the day off today so I called to get the re-call taken care of.

I have a MN6 and they said about 1.5 to 2.0 hours. They claimed they had to dl my info, send it to Detroit, await the new data and upload it to my 'puter. Sounds stupid to me but that is what they claimed.

IMO the MN6's should take 0 time, In other words DON'T DO IT install a CLB and trash can the recall notices.

The A4 recall pays the tech .8 labor hours, the M6 recall pays the tech .5 labor hours...How long it takes them to fit it into the rotation and perform the job is a different story
