Steering Column Lock (Not Covered In FAQ)
Anyone that has a 6 speed please help. Has anyone experienced the steering column lock problem after it has been to the dealer for reprogramming.
I sometimes get the pull key wait 10 seconds message on the DIC.

The dealer does not reconcile the column lock problem through the recall on the six speed. The reprogramming is done so that in the event of a column lock, you fuel flow will be shut off and the car will not be able to travel. If you want to fix the column lock problem spend 45 bucks and by the column lock bypass. this will prevent the column from locking but i am not sure if it will remedy the pull key wait ten seconds message on the DIC. someone else should be able to tell you if it will.
