If you should throw this code, the car will drive like crap. The experience is allmost like trying to take off in 3rd gear if you were driving a stick. Lots of jerk and knock.
If it is going to occur it will typically happen while the gear selector is in 4 and you are traveling at slow speeds, say 30mph or less.
It is more of a nuisance than anything else, the code refers to the valve body.
It can easily be reset. If you pull over and shut the car down, wait a while and restart it it will drive normally of course till it sets the code again.
One way of avoiding it was to drive with the gear selector in 3 at slower speeds, (like through your neighborhood and such), and use 4 only at or near highway speeds. This is discussed over on LS1tech.com. A search over there will show plenty with regard to this code.
The definitive "remedy" of course is to have the code deleted with PCM programming.
So in answer to your question, you may not need a re tune right away. But you will eventually to allow for the increased slip of the new converter. If you throw the P0757, you will know why.
I can tell you exactly what my settings are, as I have HP Tuners and you can get with the Superchips folks with the numbers so that they can modify your tune if necessary.
Let me know.
