I get the warning when I am auto-xing. when I switch it to comp. drive sometimes it jumps back and forth between the two of them. Is this the same type of problem with the censor?
I would suggest you take this whole string of aadive into your mechanic. My C6 has been in the dealership for 19 days now without a fix since the message came on the DIC. They've replaced the steering wheel sensor, brake sensor and now they say they've found a problem in the wire harness. Still waiting to hear from the dealership.
I had the exact same thing happen and it was the connector for the iat sensor. Unplug the connector and measure the voltage, it should read 5 volts with the key on. Hope this helps, Robert

May not be a problem at all. If you do not meet the conditions listed in my post the system can go back and forth until it gets the right conditions to show the Warm Up Complete. To keep this from happening during an autocross I make sure I have a space to drive in a straight line for a couple hundred feet at about 8 mph. The system has time to calibrate itself and never shows the warnings as long as I keep the motor running while waiting for my turn on the course. If I do not do these things I get a warming up message right after the start and sometimes it will give me a warm up complete and go back to warm up. Nothing wrong with the car. Just with me for not setting up the right conditions.
