Default Fuel Range problem?? Why is it so off??

Last week I went and picked up my car from A&A after having a TON of work done. ie....motor, S/C, etc, etc.
For some reason my fuel gauge and fuel range are WAYYYY off. When my gauge reads 1/3rd of a tank it will say im on reserve. When I check my average MPG it says it's like 7mpg. Even when I erase it it will immediatly start to go back down. I notice when I am driving and I put it in "inst avg" it says like 1.5 mpg. Whats the deal????? Is something hooked up wrong??

I know, I know... Keep my foot out of it. Ha Ha

Seriously, What would cause this??

THX

What were your results on your new set up? I know it has nothing to do with this thread, but I am curious.

Geez... why is this not answered yet ???

It's easy... Reset all your "average" tracking on your Driver Information Center. Average miles per gallon, average speed, ..... ect. Your Vette probably spent a lot of time idling in the shop, traveling very little distance (one side of the shop to the other), but running for an hour results in low miles per gallon

Same thing happens to people that store their Vettes for the winters in the colder states. They start up their Vettes in the garage and let them run... in spring all their averages are very low. The averages are used in the calculations to generate miles to empty... ect.

Hey 3X,

It was like 670rwhp, and I'm not sure of the TQ. I honestly didnt ask..

But this is with a 4.1 pulley running at like 10-11lbs. According to Doug at ECS once I put on my new 3.6 pulley I should see well over 700

I'm honestly not really happy with the results. The motor was seeing 662rwhp before the Alky and bigger cam. I cant figure out why I didnt see a larger gain. Now I just got to get all of the dam# electrical gremlins taken care of.. I cant seem to figure out my little fuel problem and my horrible start up problem.

Hey George,
I tried to reset everything, plus I drove 320 miles home. Thats why I cant seem to fiigure it out. I'll try and do it again. Is there some sort of sensor that controls this??

Keep it comin guys
Jeff

Just a thought, you upgraded fuel injectors, maybe BAP or pump and allot of stuff. It may be possible something was overlooked in PCM.

I think gas mileage is based speed and injector duty cycle calculation. Average is just that.

Oh, I doubt it, but maybe a leak.
