Torque Tube Questions
I have a couple of questions.
One, is it possble to inspect the couplers with taking the tube out and apart?
Second, it seems that I read somewhere that you need put bolts in the front of the tube to maintain alignment of the driveshaft when removing the tube or is that only for stick cars?

You are going to have to drop the TT along with the crossmember assy, the remove the TT from the front of the tranny, then disassemble the TT to have a look at the couplers:

I never put any bolts in when removing mine and its a stick.
Also make sure you check the bearings on the rear of the driveshaft.
