Default HVAC Lights Very Dim

Need a little help I have the dual control HVAC (Automatic) in my 99 Vert. I noticed yesterday the Numbers are Very Very Dim in daylight( really they are unreadable), not sure about night time. Is this a sign I need to change out the control unit? If not what should I do?

Well,..... yes ... it is bad... I had the same thing.. there are no light bulbs inside to replace.. as some people who answer, with no idea what they are talking about... it is not hard to replace.. the best thing is to order from GM Parts Direct... save some money..and change yourself...

Thanks for the info AtHomeSoda. I was afraid that would be the answer. Good news is the AC still works and with Temps showing ( when I can see) 101 degrees. It's Hot in Mississippi.

Thanks for the Info Dirty Glass sounds like this may be the fix. Sorry for not thinking you sooner, but I have been busy building my wife a sunroom(It don't always pay to take vacation the same time as your wife) I did order a new control, but I may experiment with my old one first.
