Default Z51 Front Swaybar

Has anybody here added a 00+Z51 front swaybar to your base FE1/F45 suspension before? Would there be any issues with having the larger front swaybar without upgrading the rear?

It doesn't sound like a really good idea to me.

Reason I was asking this question is I found a pretty good deal on a 00+ Z51 front sway, but the rear wasn't included.

the front one is a much larger diam. than the stock (base) and does make a heck of an improvement (IMHO) I went with Z06 sway's tho.. but yea, go for it! you can find a Z51 rear from someone on here I'm sure, as alot of them make the upgrade to T1's or Hotchkis, or similar

*note* If you can order the 01+ endlinks (aluminum) for the sway's, even do the rear endlink, some members say that helps alot in it's own!

If you still have stock C5 wheel/tire sizes, upgrading only the front sway will introduce understeer.

how good of a deal FB has the z06 set with endlinks and bushings (all new) for around $250 shipped (175 or so with just the bars). I just put those on my 99 f45 and they are fantastic. I also do not think that you can beat the bang for the buck.

To answer your original ? I would not try to make new supen. combos to save $250, IMO there are just too many things to go wrong.

On my 2000 I put Z06 front and rear with links (bought kit from Fichnter chev) and it made a good improvement in handling without making it a hasher ride. If you are just looking to spend a little money by doing Z51 in front only, give it a try and if you don't like it, change it back. Not much work involved, but loss of $$ may irritate you.
