last month i bought a '98 vette. I have a little son 5 years old who likes it very much do drive with me in the vette. Is it possible to turn off the passenger airbarwith some switch
beans or fitchner(both supporting vendors, gm dealers) have the switch avail. for retrofit, i think it's about 100 or so and you should be able to find a local corvetteforum wrench for an install if not inclined

I have a 5 year old too that loves to ride in my 98. I installed the kit from Fitchners. If cost just over $100. I also purchased the interior piece from a later model vet (one with the airbag off LED) that houses the traction control button. I had to replace the LED that came with it with a 12volt LED. Not a big deal, but it looks stock and I did not like the LED's that came with the kit. Pretty easy install. The key is finding the yellow connector for the passenger side airbag. Mine was where it supposed to be on the passenger side, but I have been told that it could be on the drivers side (harder to locate).
