Default warning lights

I was out driving and the car sputtered and then stalled. My gas guage said that I had just under a quater tank left. But I put some more gas in and its running ok now. But the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (Check Engine Light) is still on. Also, my tire sensors do not work. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get the light to go off or is there something else wrong with the car? And how do I check if any other codes went off? No codes are being displayed when I start and drive the car now.

thanks.

sounds like your guage is fubar'd....the car probably threw the code in response to it dying...hit RESET......don't know about the tire sensors may have to do the relearn on them

The Check Engine light could be normal if you actually did run out of gas (i.e., running injectors dry). Check for stored codes. If they are all History ("H" suffix), clear them and see if the Check Engine light remains on. If not (which is likely), welcome to the infamous C5 fuel guage problem! Many people have success by adding a can of Techron periodically, and/or switching to Chevron gas (which has Techron in it).

As for the tire sensors, how long have they been on your car? They are battery operated, and last ~5 years with typical mileage.
