I have a 97 coupe 6 speed and wanted to know who has changed the ring/pinion gears to a 373 or 390 gears. How much to install the gears and what the difference in performance is compared to the 342 gears. This is mostly for cruising around town and occasional thruway drive. Thanks.

That is a good price. Mitch I have a question, have you had any problems since your install? Any whining? The reason I ask is this is a much less expensive route that replacing the entire pig. If it works just as well I may consider this in the future.
shurite, just make sure if you do go this route that the installer has experience with the Getrag diff. It is a different animal than any other rear end. You can have a person that has been putting together ring and pinions for 20 years. This DOES NOT mean they can work on a Getrag. If they are telling you they can they are feeding you a line of .

No problems so far after nearly 3 years. I have been to the track about 6 times with about 20 launches with ET streets best 60 ft. 1.56.
