Default New predator tuning idea

Why hasnt a company made a predator tuner or granatelli tuner that is the same size as a AFC for import cars. Alot of my friends have imports and all run a AFC in the car all time. If we could have a predator the same size we could mount in the car and leave it on all the time to watch for knock or make a few adjustments. Pictures comparison

Actually, the S-AFC does not detect knock. Import tuners use wideband gauges for that or a data logger at a minimum (like a Palm PDA). The S-AFC is just supposed to be tuned once and locked.

I want a Blitz R-Vit for our cars.

Default Tuning while running

A permanently installed tuner, that could also be locked, is a great idea.

I was just trying to show the size of a AFC compared to a predator. Why cant they make the predator the same size that way it can be mounted some place nice, i.e. the ashtray, it can perminatly be there and we can make adjustsments on the fly.

I run an AFC and a AVC-R on my Single Mustang and trust me, they are not perfect. I just removed them and now run a Motec M800. The Predator has features that the AFC does not and visa versa.....The AFC is rpm and not load adjusted. Long story short....non of the lower $$$ tuners are perfect.

I agree with you on the packaging. It would be nice to be able to have a more in depth diagnostic/tuning solution that was always on board and would allow changes to the program depending on the circumstances A Pred shaped like a AFC or similar would be very nice
