Default Is Sportbrakes still in business???

I have tried calling and e-mailing them for two days and no answer and no response. Are they taking an extended Fourth of July holiday or something? Has anyone been able to get a hold of them recently?

I would like to talk to them about getting some rotors for my car but if I can't get in touch with them it makes it difficult.

I had the same problem 2 weeks ago. I finally gave up and contacted Rotorpros.com. He called me back and has answered the phone. The rotors were shipped and they are now on the car. I got tired of waiting for Sportbrakes to even respond. I know they make a good product but I perhaps they are on extended vacation? Good luck!

I think the problem is they only have one or two guys working at the shop, answering phones. Keep trying, worth the wait.

Usually, if I have to wonder whether or not a business is still operational and they don't answer the fone, I assume they aren't, and go someplace else. I am really reluctant to send money some place that is consistantly unreachable during normal business hours. JMHO.

My dealings with them went very well. Great prices and they arrived at my door when they said they would.

While your waiting, it wouldn't hurt to research other sources!
Someone on here should help....

Been to the Sportbrake shop in Dallas, they are a two man shop. Sometimes it takes them a while to respond, I had that problem so I drove to their shop to place my order.

Those guys have huge volumes so it takes them some time to get back you depending on what they are producing. Let me know if you want me to run to the shop and check if they are still operating.

I am in Dallas and got mine also AT THE SHOP (The shop isn't a Shop, it is more like a rented metal stprage space in a strip center like).

There is abasically 1 guy there who runs it and you just need ot be patient. If he is out getting a cheesburger, his accountants and warehouse personal and customer service people aren't gonna help you....................cause he ain't got any

Keep trying, you'll get through. I think he used to sell on e-bay too so check there.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll keep trying cause it seems like they offer a very good product, just would have liked to get them ordered this week. Might go with Zip Products rotors if I can't get a hold of them.

If they'd just fix the 'shopping cart' on their website, they wouldn't have to answer the phone so much.

Well they need to do something. I don't know how anyone has got any rotors from them period. I've called everyday this week, several times a day, and still don't get an answer. How about they invest in voice mail for crying out loud!

Bought mine 2 weeks ago.

Same thing happened as I called several times w/o a reply. Fortunately, I called right at about 9:00 AM Central time and got through. Rotors were sent out the same day and delivered as promised for 250.00

These zinc rotors are from Canada. Looking now for a supplier up there to maybe get a better price.

Ill post if I do.

Good luck,

Mike

Congrats! I still get compliments on mine 6 months and many track events later. Here's a tip: Don't use Mequires wheel cleaner after installing these rotors. It will stain/etch the coating.

i dont know
I bougth the ceramic pads too
my car is a vert
I dont track it or really get on brakes hard

the only thing i can come up with is the stickers you put onthe pads

the pads come with an adhesive sticker that you put on the back of the pad
hell i dont know what its supposed to do

but anyway i put them on all 4 pads and then last moth i noticed they had lost there adhesion and they were trying to come off

granted they are pinned between ther caliper piston and the pad but somehow they managed to get out on part of the pad

I suspect that the few thousanths that the sticker is caused the piston to apply more pressure to one side of the pad and that helped to warp the rotor

its not warped all that bad but you can feal it

the rears are still good but the sticker came off back there too

id advise people to not put those stickers on the pads cause i can see no reason for them and they just fail and get loose after you wash your car a few months later

I don't understand the stickers at all. Or why you'd expect Sportbrakes to replace the rotors because of something you did.

the sitckers came with the pads that sportbrakes sold me
they were installed just as the directions explained and everything was torqued to spec

they were installed correctly is the point

the stickers (supplied with the pads (sold by sportbrakes)) came off the pads, most likely causing the rotors to warp IMO

of course it could also be a faulty rotor
who knows
i was just presenting a possible scenario that might result in a warped rotor

maybe that explains it better
I was simply asking about a warranty though

rotors from autozone or advance auto usually have like a 1 yr warranty

How thick are these 'stickers'? Paper thin or like 1/16" or bigger?
